The best fast fold projection screen?

Most people do not have a clue on how to choose the best fast fold projection screen for their needs. Most

of the time, they just consider the price of the projection screen when buying one. There are certain things though that people have to look into when buying a projection screen so that they get the most value out of their investments.

First, the screen should have an appropriate size. The room size and the number of people watching must be considered when buying a projection screen. The general rule is that the screen height must be 1/6 of the distance of the screen from those in the back. The view up front should be double the height of the screen projector. Also, the projection screen should rise at least 4 feet from the ground.

The aspect ratio must also be considered when buying a fast fold projection screen. Two of the most widely used dimensions are the 4:3 and the 16:9. It is advised that the latter screen size is used for the display of movies. For simple presentations, the 4:3 screen size should be enough.

What to consider before buying a fast fold projection screen

The material of the projection screen must also be looked into. This is dependent on factors like ambient conditions of the room and the kind of projector being used. Most of the time, a screen projector with matte screen is recommended for rooms which are adequately lighted. On the other hand, a high gain matte projection screen is best for rooms which are inadequately lit.

Mounting a fast fold projection screen

How the screen projector will be mounted should also be considered. If the user will tap the projection screen for home theater viewing, then a projection screen should be mounted on the wall or ceiling. In case the projector will be used in different places, then a portable screen projector should be bought.

Weight is a huge factor, because if the fast fold projection screen weighs to much, you will not want to lug it around. If you do carry it to a hotel for example, you might have to climb stairs, get in an elevator or escalator and or deal with a parking garage or parking valet. get something LIGHT, trust me on this. Anything over 15 pounds will really really really tire you.
